Huey Lewis & The News - I think I have been listening to this band my entire life. One of the greatest blue-eyed soul bands of all timie is from the Golden Gate City, which also is one of my favorite cities.

Charles Kelley - The lesser known of the two Kelley brothers, but no less talented. His record "2 the 9's" is amazing, shining with two of my favorite tracks, "Wake Me Up" and "Grow Old With Me".

Josh Kelley - By far the better known of the two brothers, but much of that seems to be because he married the girl from Grey's Anatomy. He is however a monster musician and songwriter. He seems to have a beautiful soul.

Gavin Degraw - The first concert I took Shelly to was a Gavin Concert, and he was amazing. His debut album was packed with amazing tunes and I sure hope that his new one coming soon won't disapoint me, but I'm not that worried. On the new album, he has recorded one of my favorites "Cop Stop".

Kenny Loggins - Oh Kenny, the man has been in my head for 2 decades, lol. His "Return To Pooh Corner" record has a special place in my heart and my ipod, and gets turned on often still when I am in a hotel room and am trying to sleep unsuccesfully.

Krisin Rian - I just discovered her recently online. She's from Norway, and has a really really cool sound, and an amazing clear voice.

Brian Mcknight - First dance of mine and Shelly's as husband and wife was his version of "Crazy Love". I actually met him last spring in a Sam Ash Store in Raleigh, NC. He was really nice. Favorite tune of his is "Still".

Lionel Richie - He's just amazing. Writing some of the most beloved pop/r&b songs of the 70's, 80's & 90', this man desirves major respect.

Earth Wind & Fire - One of the most influential bands of all time! I love so many of their tunes, and wish I could sing like Phillip Bailey. What a band

James Taylor - I think life begins and ends with JT. His records are perfect and his voice and lyrics are amazing. If you haven't heard it, check out "Sweet Potato Pie" on the Ray Charles Genious Loves Company CD. It's track 2, and my favorite from the record.

Richard Marx - He's a brilliant writer, producer, and musician. The first song I learned on guitar was "Now & Forever"... that was my attempt to get the girls. It rarely worked, but it was worth a shot.

Stevie Wonder - The legendary man. This guy is R&B music. He's got me hooked. Just listen!

Idina Menzel - She broke out with "Rent", then she scored major with here part as the wicked witch in "Wicked". She's amazing and her new album "I Stand" is unreal. I listen to it constantly.
